Expediting Engineer - Energy Storage

The ideal candidate has an Engineering degree or an equivalent academic qualification. He/She has at least 2 years of experience within Equipment Manufacturers/EPC Contractors operating in the Oil&Gas, Petrochemical or Power Generation markets.

The resource will manage the procurement in order to satisfy Company’s needs and to check the suppliers’ productivity in terms of costs, quality and timing.

The candidate will have the opportunity to develop the company's first expediting strategy, and then to define and structure the department's guidelines, with the support of the supply chain and project management teams.

Main responsibilities:

• Keeping constant relations with suppliers in order to monitor all orders issued, keeping the procurement project plan up to date to ensure deliveries are made on time and quality is adequate;
• Providing an ongoing view of suppliers' progress towards meeting purchase order requirements;
• Verifying the supplier's General Manufacturing Programme and supporting the resolution of anomalies;
• Monitoring and reporting supplier progress to the supply chain and project manager informing them in a timely manner if a relevant delivery will be delayed;
• Quality control and expediting visits to suppliers to transfer relevant information to inspectors;
• Managing correspondence with suppliers, filing and forwarding relevant documentation (control plans, test reports, non-conformities, certification, material and packaging photographs, criticalities) to the various company and external functions;
• Managing correspondence with suppliers relating to testing;
• Expediting documentation and internal quality control.

Autonomous, entrepreneurial-minded, accurate and organized people, who are willing to get involved, are appreciated. The candidate should demonstrate flexibility and humility. A good knowledge of English language is essential. Sporadic travel availability is required. A genuine interest in clean technologies and energy transition is a plus.
