Greentalent, recruiter specialized in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering and Environment market, on behalf of an international developer of green and clean energy projects, such as renewables, H2, interconnections and energy, is looking for a:

Senior Project Engineer – Wind & Solar

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing greenfield renewables in international context, ideally ranging from origination, design, support in negotiating contracts an agreements and installation of Wind and Solar Plants.

This role will involve working on complex projects that require a deep understanding of Wind and Solar business, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Support Business Development team in performing feasibility assessment of new greenfield initiatives (i.e. red flags identifications, go/no-go recommendations);
• Support negotiation of early stage agreements (i.e. framework agreements with developers, land leases/option for land acquisitions, concession agreements, etc);
• Prepare Design Basis and RFP through creative thinking and alternative approaches;
• Lead the technical discussions on technology selection, as well as wind and/or solar resource assessments, siting, and site layouts;
• Prepare the specification of equipment, review proposals to ensure that RFP requirements are met (technical and commercial), consolidate the cost estimate and the implementation schedule;
• Oversee delivery and day to day execution of wind, solar and energy storage projects;
• Act as Project Leader and/or Project Manager for select strategic projects and clients;
• Conduct technical reviews and oversee engineering and design activities;
• Conduct technical negotiation with O&M Manufacturer;
• Work in coordination with Business Development in the discussion and negotiations with all the relevant stakeholders (Landowner, Permitting, Local Authorities, JV Partners).

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the electric power sector, and 5 or more years of experience in the origination, development, design, execution, and/or operations of wind, solar, and/or energy storage projects in international markets and utility-scale projects;
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies such as wind turbine generators, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and/or battery energy storage, including experience in technology selection and specification of equipment;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities;
• Power generation and/or power utility (high and medium voltage) experience;
• Exposure to and knowledge of battery energy storage systems.
