Lead Rotating Equipment

As a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer, the candidate will be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line and he/she will manage all aspects of rotating equipment engineering activities in line with project requirements. This role involves overseeing the design, specification, and procurement of rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with international and company standards, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise rotating equipment engineering activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and maintaining adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards;
- Manage project interfaces and ensure effective communication and information flow among all stakeholders;
- Lead the design, specification, and procurement of rotating equipment, including centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw compressors, steam and gas turbines, hydraulic turbines, pumps fans and blowers, and gearboxes;
- Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, NFPA) and industry best practices;
- Apply expertise in rotor dynamics, vibration analysis, dynamic simulation, and compressor surge control;
- Guide vendor progress meetings, and conduct reviews of technical documents and drawings;
- Ensure the best internal liaison with disciplines such as process, civil, piping, instrumentation & controls, electrical, metallurgy, projects management, procurement, inspection, logistics, commissioning and construction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role;
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken);
- Willingness to travel for short durations (1 week to 1 month);
- Experience with auxiliary systems such as compressor surge and performance controllers, dry gas seals, electronic governors, vibration and bearing temperature monitoring equipment, lubrication and seal oil systems, and acoustic enclosures is a strong asset;
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills are nice to have.
