Greentalent, recruiter specialized in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering and Environment market, on behalf of Snam, the leading regulated gas utility in Europe, is looking for a:

Reservoir & Petroleum Engineer 

The candidate will be part of Snam/Stogit International Underground Gas Storage team, who provides technical support to offer and execution of UGS services to different internal or external clients around the world, for the development of new energy storage projects (mainly hydrogen and CO2 underground storage) as well as for evaluating projects/Assets where the underground storages component is included.

As a Reservoir & Petroleum Engineer, he/she will be responsible of supporting the Company for all the Reservoir and Petroleum engineering aspects in pursuing new opportunities outside Italy in the Underground Gas Storage business and new energy underground storages (CCS and Hydrogen).

Main tasks:

• Ensure the preparation of Reservoir feasibility studies, to develop new international UGS projects or upgrade existing ones, coordinating external consultants and integrating internal resources if needed;
• Execute reservoir specialistic studies for the evaluation and design of underground gas storages, with particular focus on building and running dynamic modelization studies (Storage capacity, WG, CG, withdrawal and injectivity performance and efficiency);
• Ensure the technical execution and follow-up of any Reservoir engineering and geology international activity, guaranteeing the proper link with Company centre of competence;
• Verify of all the monitoring and reservoir management reports such as but not limited to, reservoir pressure, gas saturation, production/injection, remaining reserves, etc;
• Participate to the evaluation of Underground Gas, CO2 and hydrogen Storage for what concern reservoir & petroleum engineering aspects for any new initiative outside Italy (international), coordinating external consultants and interfacing with internal resources;
• Within the multidisciplinary team in charge of asset evaluation for any new international UGS initiative, takes part to due diligence, data room and technical meetings, with full responsibility for reservoir & petroleum engineering aspects;
• Ensure the verification of quality, robustness and completeness of all the reports and deliverables envisaged by any service contract with third party client.

Requirements:

• Master degree in petroleum, reservoir, mechanical, chemical, civil engineering or a related field;
• At least 7-10 years experience in international contexts;
• Proven involvement in up-stream feasibility study realization for the development of gas fields (preferably UGS);
• Detailed knowledge in supervision and realization of 3D dynamic model both with black oil than compositional simulators;
• Experience in technical evaluation of Oil/Gas fields both in terrigenous than fractured environment;
• Experience in reservoir management of gas fields and in the production optimization techniques and process;
• Experience in design, supervision and interpretation of well tests and in wells performance monitoring (definition of new production, injection and interference tests);
• Knowledge of petroleum geology and geological model construction process and techniques;
• Knowledge of geodynamic (subsidence, tectonics) and of rock geomechanic (stress status, elastic deformation field, compaction law);
• Basic knowledge of seismic acquisition technique and seismic interpretation;
• Experience related to deposit evaluation for CCUS project or hydrogen storage project is a plus;
• Hands-on of reservoir and petroleum engineering softwares like: Petrel G&G, Petrel Geomechanics and Techlog;
• Track record of interdisciplinary working group coordination;
• Track record in managing external contractors;
• Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships;
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and clear thinking to articulate highly technical information in a clear and easy to understand manner;
• Good knowledge of energy sector, with focus on gas transport & storage infrastructure and/or renewable energy gas related (e.g. hydrogen, CCUS).
