Sales Proposal Engineer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical and commercial support, dealing with the energy market and specifically in cogeneration applications and ensuring the successful development of proposals, feasibility studies and customer negotiations. This role will focus mainly on OEM equipment sales but also involves aftermarket sales and contract management activities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Customer requirements and prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals;
- Develop and deliver accurate sales proposals, including performance data, mass balance calculations, and complex technical specifications;
- Conduct first-level feasibility studies to assess project viability and identify key risks or opportunities;
- Collaborate with internal teams (Bid Team, engineering, R&D, commercial) to ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions, draft technical and commercial proposals, including project specifications and pricing;
- Prepare and present commercial offers to Customers, addressing both technical and financial aspects;
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities;
- Manage both OEM and aftermarket sales contracts;
- Explore and develop business opportunities in the sea market, in addition to maintaining a strong presence in land-based applications.
Requirements:
- Graduated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with related work;
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, product design, and system integration (experience in the energy market or cogeneration is a plus);
- Willingness to travel from 20% to 50% of the time, to attend Client visits, site inspections, trade shows and conferences;
- Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written);
- Excellent skills with Microsoft’s Office package.
Additional preferences:
- Strong, structured personality;
- Work well in a team environment and able to work independently;
- Broad based overall commercial and technical knowledge and understanding;
- Knowledge of energy market and regulations (ETS, White Cerficate, etc.) is a plus.
Location: Genoa/Home Office and willingness to travel within the Italian market.
