Power Portfolio Manager

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-year experience in a similar role in the Italian market, will have a strong mathematical and statistical background and a solid knowledge of the Italian power system regulation and of TSO operations.

The Power Portfolio Manager will report functionally to the Head of Portfolio Management and will be responsible of operating the dispatching of power company’s portfolio, with the view to minimise the balancing/flexibility risk associated to the company portfolio (sales and generation).

Responsibilities:

• To ensure that the dispatching activity takes place efficiently and profitably, leveraging on the market optimization instruments (MGP, MI, XBID) and taking direct P&L responsibility;
• To contribute to the set-up of the Power Operations IT System;
• To contribute in developing new methodologies for pricing potential new power plants (conventional and/or RES);
• To support the introduction of any new systems and processes that will foster the development of the company in this area, in alignment with company’s standards and operational procedures;
• To support the pricing activity to the sales teams, as well any supporting activity to the company management that will be required.

Requirements:

• Graduated in Engineering or Economics subjects;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with related work;
• Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written);
• Excellent skills with Python coding structure and language, and general coding skills will be a plus.
