Greentalent, recruiter specialized in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering and Environment market, on behalf of an international company operating in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a:
Head of Engineering – EPC Solar
The Head of Engineering will lead and manage the engineering teams for the success of the projects, overseeing the design phases of photovoltaic parks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This person will directly report to the Chief Operations Officer of the Group. He/She will manage directly a team of Designers and Project Engineers (approx. 20 pax).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create utility scale photovoltaic (PV) solar design, including equipment selection, energy modeling, and optimization to design the highest performing integrated system;
- Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for photovoltaic parks, civil and mechanical works, and electrical installations in low and medium voltage (LV/MV);
- Ensure compliance with European norms and standards relevant to photovoltaic parks electrical systems;
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, construction, and project management teams;
- Maintain appropriate documentation of technical data consistent with engineering best policies and practices;
- Confirm with industry standards to optimize project designs for constraints, including geography, schedule, scope and financial constraints;
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.
Main requirements:
- University degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field;
- At least 7-10 years’ experience designing and optimizing complex utility scale solar projects (EPC business model);
- Deep understanding of industry regulations, European standards, and best practices related to PV parks and LV/MV electrical systems;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail;
- Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and leadership.
Location: 50% Tirana (Albania - HQ of the Group) 50% remote. All travel costs and working accommodation provided during working days in Tirana. We will provide all the details during the interviews.
